The fashion world was shook this year when Rita Ora partnered with Munich-based fashion brand ESCADA to design the a special edition heart bag.
Multiple celebrities from Winnie Harlow to Leomie Anderson were pictured with the radiant-red accessory, which features heart-shaped concentric circles. As a lifelong fan of the brand, the fashion house’s ambassador chose red as her favourite colour and used it as inspiration, paying tribute to ESCADA’s contemporary vision.
Now Rita Ora has teamed up again with the leading fashion house to create a separate capsule collection of eight outfits for AW19, once more drawing on the colour red as the main theme. To create the sharp silhouettes of the collection, the superstar spent time in the ESCADA archives, researching classic looks and implementing her innate personal sense of style. The capsule explores Rita Ora’s wardrobe through the context of ESCADA.
“Rita has such a bold and positive energy that she really embodies what our brand stands for. This collection marks a new era for the brand!” says Iris Epple-Righi, CEO of ESCADA.
Ora agrees: “I’m so pleased to be collaborating with a brand that champions female strength,” she explains. “ESCADA puts the empowerment of women at the forefront of everything they do.” Female empowerment is a theme of the collection – curved shoulders and structured tailoring are rendered in crisp woollen blazers inset with terrycloth hoods, or thick denim giving the ESCADA woman’s elegance a sporty sense of off-duty ease.
This capsule collection is designed for women who, like Rita, know the power of both their wardrobe and their voice. The capsule collection will be launched in ESCADA stores on 1 October.
