And with its spectacular setting – in the plush garden of the Fellah Hotel, the Atlas Mountains as a backdrop – plus a roster of headliners that include Actress, Mount Kimbie and Peggy Gou, Oasis Festival will likely deliver on that this month. Founded in 2015, the Marrakech event is part of a new wave of festivals that is finally putting Morocco on the dance-music map. Over on the coast in Essaouira, the Atlantic port city that found bucket-list fame as the one-time set of Game of Thrones, Moga has become as much a go-to for its music as for its breezy, warm late-summer weather.
