Where is home?
Philadelphia – born and raised. But now living in California.
Name a place that most lived up to the hype prior to visit…
UAE – it’s an incredible place that I keep going back to. I love the energy, the design, the people.
Which is your favourite city, and why?
Miami is my favourite city in the world and is a place I have been close to for so long. As soon as I get off the plane… the sun, the atmosphere, it just makes me feel so alive.
What’s your favourite view?
I did a bungee jump over The Grand Canyon this year. I was terrified at first – but once I opened my eyes the view was pure bliss.
What’s your favourite hotel?
The Four Seasons George V in Paris is a really great hotel.
Best thing you’ve learnt on a trip?
It was so interesting learning about the pyramids when we went to Egypt. We were guided by Zahi Hawass who is a good friend and just happens to be the best archaeologist in the world.
Earliest travel memory?
There was a lot of travel to LA in the early days of my career. There really is nowhere quite like it. It’s completely crazy.
What’s the best dish you’ve eaten on your travels?
I love Indian cooking – and some of the dishes I ate in Mumbai were up there with the best I’ve eaten anywhere.
I always pack…
A book or rather books. Reading is one of my favourite things to do. It’s basically learning and expanding the mind.
My best-kept travel secret is…
No doubt: the Philly Cheesesteak at Overbrook Pizza in Philadelphia.
When I’m in the mood for some retail therapy on my travels, I must visit…
Paris is pretty awesome.
When I’m in the mood to paint the town red, I hit…
Miami – everybody needs to party in Miami at least once in their life. Fact.
My favourite travel pastime is…
I don’t like being bored – if it’s testing me, if it’s exciting, if there is adrenaline to be had, I am in. That could be a bungee jump, a sky dive, a dune bash in the desert, I am down for it all.
Aladdin is in cinemas worldwide from 24 May.
