Choosing the perfect hotel can be a fraught business. How do you go about it? By word-of mouth? Random online reviews? There simply must be a better way. One travel guru certainly thinks so. The author of no fewer than seven travel books, Philippe Kjellgren – nicknamed ‘PK’ – has just launched his own high-end hotel curation app called PK’s List.
Think of it as a virtual ‘little black book’ that hooks you up with quality stays all over the world, from discreet Manhattan boutiques and countryside pads to barefoot beachfront hideaways, all via one trustworthy, succinct and easy-to-navigate application. What ultimately sets PK’s List apart, however, is that the man himself – a travel consultant for celebs and international royalty – has personally stayed at all of the app’s 2,100-plus featured hotels, many of which during a recent 800-day marathon voyage around the world.
So every last detail, from the warmth of the welcome at reception, to the provision and placement of plug sockets, has been painstakingly evaluated by Kjellgren. And unlike other booking apps, PK’s List is happy to share the hotel’s contact details with you, so you can book your stay in your own time, at leisure.
So a list of flawless hotels, personally curated by a leading expert, and all in the palm of your hand? Now you can rest easy.
